Does the app need admin access or special privileges?
eSign GO requires admin privileges only during installation to register the GO printer. After installation, the eSign GO Watcher app does not need any special privileges.

Can device restrictions (UAC) affect the app?
Yes, the eSign GO app needs access to certain folders on the C: drive to function correctly. These include:

C:\ProgramData\Scrive\ScriveGo\PrintJobs (for print job processing)
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming

Any restrictions on these folders for the user running the application will disrupt its functionality.

What dependencies are needed?
eSign GO requires .NET Desktop Runtime version 6 or higher.

Which Windows versions are supported?
eSign GO supports Windows versions from Windows 7 to Windows 11.

Can anti-malware software interfere with the app?
While eSign GO does not perform any actions that should be considered a threat by antivirus software, specific antivirus configurations might potentially block or interfere with the app.

Can other applications interfere with the Printer app?
No external applications should interfere with the eSign GO app.

Can low machine specifications cause issues?
While there is no exact information on the memory requirements for eSign GO, it operates with minimal logic. However, very low disk space on the C: drive could interfere with the app's ability to perform print jobs.

Resetting to factory defaults
Currently, eSign GO does not offer an option to reset the app to factory defaults from within the application. To reset the app, the user can simply reinstall it. This process will restore the app to its original settings.

Why do I see garbage text when copying from a PDF or using the Printer Driver?
This issue is usually caused by PDFs created in version 1.3 or lower, or PDFs that lack proper ToUnicode mapping. Without this mapping, the PDF can't reliably connect visual characters (glyphs) to real text, which causes problems with copy-paste and document processing by the GO Printer.

How to fix it:

Use PDF version 1.4 or higher when creating or exporting the file.
Ensure the PDF includes ToUnicode mapping (enabled by default in most modern tools).
Re-export the PDF using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Print to PDF, or similar.
For advanced users: use tools like Ghostscript to convert the file to PDF 1.4+ with embedded fonts and correct mappings.
