Hide personal number

Depending on your company’s settings for your Scrive account, you may have the option to hide a party's personal number/social security number (SSN) from the signed document. This option is available under “Advanced settings” in the “Parties” tab and includes one of the following choices depending on your company’s settings:

  • Hide personal number from verification page: By enabling this setting, the personal number will be removed from the verification page in the signed PDF, but it will still be part of the embedded evidence log. If you use this setting, we advise informing the signatory that their personal number is still included in the evidence package.

  • Hide personal number from verification page & evidence log: This setting removes the personal number from both the verification page and the evidence log, meaning it will be entirely removed from all parts of the signed document.

Excluding the personal number from both the verification page and the evidence log may weaken the attached evidence regarding unique identity. Therefore, it should be assumed that it may result in it not qualifying as an advanced signature (where the personal number has been used for authentication to sign).

Sign success and sign reject URL

The 'Sign success URL' and 'Sign reject URL' can be used to redirect the signing party to a new link once they have either successfully signed the document or chosen to reject signing it.

To use this feature, simply paste the link you want the signatory to be redirected to in the respective fields.
